This June marked FundingBox's return visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting our ongoing commitment to supporting the development of widening economies in Europe. Our efforts were concentrated on two main goals: creating a dynamic innovation ecosystem and utilising Bosnia's digital potential.

Bosnia's Booming Tech Landscape

Bosnia and Herzegovina's tech sector is brimming with power. We attested to this by taking part in the landmark Digital Europe Signing Ceremony. The €7.5 billion Digital Europe Programme (DEP) represents a significant opportunity for Bosnian businesses to tap into EU funding and advance their digital transformation processes.

During the ceremony, FundingBox experts played a key role in facilitating workshops on DEP calls for proposals. We made use of our extensive knowledge of EU financing processes to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the program's nuances and identify potential funding opportunities tailored to their specific needs.

FundingBox and its4Health: A Meeting of Minds

In addition to making money more accessible, FundingBox encourages cooperation among members of the Bosnian innovation community. Our meeting with the evolving Digital Innovation Hub its4Health in Sarajevo was a prime example of this commitment.

This dynamic session, held at the University of Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, explored the transformative potential of digital innovation for local businesses. Maria Roca, our expert, went into great detail about the development of DIHs, especially their rise to the rank of European DIHs. She emphasised the importance of "Test Before Invest" services, allowing SMEs to experiment with new technologies without financial risk.

In support of this, Brais Fernandéz provided an overview of the various financial options that Bosnia has to support innovative initiatives. Additionally, Virgil offered valuable advice on crafting strategic marketing and outreach efforts to increase its4Health's visibility within the industry.
